The term “Hamptons style” is inspired by the luxury holiday homes in the sea-side communities along the Eastern Beaches of New York, Long Island.
It’s all about luxury, elegance and generosity, paired with comfortable living. The themes are generally nautical, and include a colour palette of varying shades of greys, blues, and sandy colours, always with White as the contrasting colour for the trims.
A typical Hamptons home is inviting, open, and lures you in, simply because of the classic style and earthy colours that speaks to our hearts and souls.

The Coastal Hamptons Style has some really beautiful design features. Internally, with fittings and fixtures, you see timber floors, Shaker or shiplap cabinetry, marble splash backs and benchtops, chrome or brass tapware and handles.
It’s all about spacious design, plenty of natural sunlight coming into the rooms, and stylish pendant lighting to complete the look.

Mostly the base palette for kitchens and bathrooms is all white, but colour in the lower wet area cabinetry has become popular in our Australian Hamptons style interiors; in particular, charcoal, black, green and navy. Along with the coloured cabinetry, we’re loving the Hamptons style mouldings when our home buyers get really savvy and have the extra cash needed, as well as the marble bench tops and farmhouse sinks, paired with contemporary tapware against white backdrops. Simply stunning.
