Craig and Daniela Howe were one of the first to secure land and build at the private and centrally located Korora Haven estate.

As Daniela explains: “We were aware that Korora Haven was the last parcel of Coffs Harbour dress circle land east of the Pacific Highway and offered sweeping Pacific Ocean views from many of the blocks.

“The estate features a mix of north facing elevated blocks with ocean views and lots looking onto an established sub-tropical landscape which fringes an interconnected lagoon system.

“As a result we were keen to select an elevated block and then have Integrity New Homes Coffs Harbour design us a custom home to suit the land.
“We definitely didn’t want a big box with miles and miles of hallways and acres of un-furnishable spaces.

“Good home design isn’t about size: just because a home is big doesn’t make it enjoyable and pleasant to live in and certainly isn’t efficient.
 “Good design is about thoughtful and efficient use of space to create a home which is liveable on a day-today basis and suits the specific needs and dreams of the residents. “So we wanted an appealing and fresh home that would suit us over many years.

 “Our finished home is over multi-levels and delivers stunning views as well as a contemporary dwelling with a very strong street presence.
“This has been achieved by using a mix of lightweight materials and rendered and painted brickwork.
“A mix of skillion and rooves and pitches has created a visually interesting roof line perfectly suited to a coastal location.

 “By working with the Integrity New Homes design team we could create a design that appealed and suited us.
“For example, we created a master bedroom and study/office wing which sits on an angle from the rest of the home but is connected directly to the rumpus.
“This provides a “retreat” from the rest of the living areas and is extremely functional but it looks stylish and very interesting,” Daniela said.

Craig said: “Building a new home is a significant undertaking and there are times when things don’t always go the way they are planned.
“After all when you consider the number of different tradespeople and suppliers involved it is not surprising there will be the odd hic-up on occasion.
“We did find Integrity New Homes did have processes in place to iron out these “bumps”.
“We are extremely happy with the finished result of our home and the way it maximises the sea views on a challenging site,” Craig said.

Almost half the total of 33 developed lots are sold and is the last land in the Diggers Beach/Korora/ Sapphire Beach area.

Korora Haven estate offers a large number of unique features which include:
•    An established, naturally fed, lagoon system with substantial plantings and native birdlife;
•    Foot bridge across the main lagoon with direct access to Hills Beach via a 300 metre walkway;
•    A 200 metre walk from the Kororo Public School;
•    Five minutes by car from Park Beach Plaza shopping centre; and
•    Surrounded by established high value prestige homes in the most sought after part of Coffs Harbour.

According to Daniela and Craig Howe who recently moved into their new home, built by Integrity New Homes at Korora Haven, “this estate combines a fantastic location close to schools and shops combined with an established natural environment”.
