Here's the truth: the time to speak up is before your plans are locked in.
Why it matters before you sign off
Once your plans are finalised, changes become harder and more expensive. That's why it's so important to be 100% sure of what you want before that point. A small idea raised early can be simple to include. The same idea raised halfway through the build can cost far more, or may not be possible at all.
We'll always ask the right questions, and ask them in different ways, to help draw out what you're really looking for. But the more you share with us, the better your home will suit you.
Start with your lifestyle
The best place to begin is with how you actually live. Before you meet with us, sit down and write a list of what you'd like in your home. Think about:
- How your family uses the kitchen and living areas each day
- Where you need storage, and how much
- Whether you work from home or need a quiet space
- How your needs might change in five or ten years
- The little frustrations in your current home you'd love to fix
Nothing is too small for the list. If it matters to you, it belongs there.
Bring us the "silly" questions
Once you think your list is done, come and talk it through with us. Ask the questions you might feel unsure about. Do we really need this? Is that worth the money? Would this work on our block?
If you tell us, we can look at whether we can make it work for you. If you don't, we'll never know it was important.
