Throw in a major renewable energy storage project in our hinterland and you've got an economy pulling in jobs, families and demand for quality homes.
What does that mean on the ground? Mackay's median house price has climbed past $740,000, approvals are tracking up again, and the better suburbs — Northern Beaches, Eimeo, Ooralea, Beaconsfield and Mount Pleasant — are filling up faster than most folks reckon.
