Integrity New Homes South Coast were a finalist for the Energy Efficiency GreenSmart Awards for 2018

The site has a nine metre frontage with a strict building envelope with no room to manoeuvre the house on the site. It is a zero lot, with very limited space and the garage required to face a rear service lane. The front of the house faces North with a covered entry porch providing shade and shelter. Due to the size of the block, cross ventilation was achieved through a central covered alfresco area. Due to the developer’s covenant, windows were limited to being vertically aligned on the street frontage. Larger eaves were used as shading to the front windows with roofing and skillions providing shading to the other major areas of glass.

This house also featured a solar PV system and electric boosted solar hot water system, R1.5 wall bats, R2.5 ceiling bats, 55mm anti-condensation roof blanket to the underside of the Colorbond rood and sarking was also provided to all external walls
