TradieSafe is a SafeWork NSW initiative aiming to highlight and reduce safety risks on job sites.

A great turn out of 14 local trade contractors and Integrity New Homes employees from the Hunter Valley region attended a TradieSafe seminar conducted by Workcover's Greg Saunders held at the Integrity New Homes display home in Thornton.

The TradieSafe project focuses on three main risks that were identified by surveying construction workers in the Hunter Valley region including:

1) Falls from heights;
2) Slips, trips and falls due to poor housekeeping;
3) Cuts from sharp objects.

An average of 730 construction workers are injured in the Hunter region each year, serving as a timely reminder of the importance of health and safety procedures.
