The team at Integrity New Homes have participated in health and safety training as part of an ongoing commitment to provide safer building sites for owners, suppliers and trade contractors.

The training was provided by Integrity New Homes Franchising representative, Shane Hearps, and is based around the policies, procedures and forms required for the establishment, monitoring, review and improvement necessary of a health and safety system.

Many owners are not aware that once the builder takes possession of a site the owner can no longer enter the land without the approval of the builder.

Construction is intrinsically dangerous with many hazards, so very clear procedures are need to reduce the risk of injury.

Contractors and suppliers are trained and aware of the hazards which may not be the case with many home owners  - hence the importance of controlling site access.

Home owners must only enter the site in the company of the builder or designed builder’s representative, inducted and appropriately attired.

Given Integrity New Homes have sites throughout the north west of Melbourne including Truganina, Kalkallo, Tarneit and Sunbury, there is plenty of effort required to maintain and monitor health and safety practices.
