When building your new home, you want to know which products you have and which ones you want. In this article, I will be listing a few popular choices of flooring and their benefits. These main floor types are laminate, ceramic tiles, carpet, vinyl plank and hybrid floors.

Laminate

This range of flooring is also referred to in the building trade as Click-Lock Flooring' because the planks lock together during fitment. Laminate flooring is made from pressed wood therefore durable and water-resistant (except heavily used wet rooms). Laminate flooring is cost-effective and is one of our base range products, great for investors and first home buyers.

Ceramic Tiles

Ceramic tiles are in most homes, especially bathrooms thanks to their water-proofing properties. Tiles are hard wearing and permanent but can smash if you drop anything significantly hard on them. Tiles are standard with all our new homes.

Carpet

We all love carpet, just because it feels nice on your bare feet when you get up in the morning and how carpet is always the right temperature all year round. A lovely soft carpet is excellent for bedrooms and media rooms, to give you more comfort.

Vinyl Planks

Vinyl planks are similar to laminate floors and give the same look, but have some other advantages. The first one would be a higher resistance to water, making it an excellent product for heavy kitchen users. The other is the ability to change a damaged plank as, unlike laminate flooring, they don't use a click-lock system, but are stuck to the base instead.

Hybrid Flooring

Lastly, we have the innovative hybrid flooring is crossed between laminate and vinyl, giving you the best of both worlds. Hybrid flooring can be fitted anywhere in your new home, including wet areas like bathrooms and laundry rooms. They look great and carry the same durable properties as the laminate flooring.
